Lots of News

first off, check out our interview by scene sc where i discuss being in an upstate band, the problems with the music industry and avg's future.  while you're there click over to their next big thing poll and place a vote for us.  at this point, there's really no chance of us winning but it's still nice to know that people are finding out about us.

alright, moving on - thanks to everyone that came out to the asheville and spartanburg shows last weekend.  playing with doc aquatic was awesome and getting the show of the week in the spartanburg herald-journal was rad.  this week, we've got two shows.  the first is on friday at the capri theatre in gaffney.  we just found out about this on tuesday but we're always up for playing at the capri.  it's by far one of the best music rooms in the upstate for both bands and audiences.  the second show is happening at gumby's food and spirits in greenville and we've put a lot of planning and preparation into it.  some of our favorite songwriter's will be sharing the bill with us and we're honored to have them.  the night will start out with is the anchor's first ever performance.  this is an acoustic duo which features kayla parker on guitar and whitley thompson on with violin.  both sing like angels and write heart-felt lilts.  really great stuff.  next up is our good friend and super amazing wordsmith, kathy kelley.  i first came to know kathy from playing open mic nights around town and she always left me amazed and wanting more so it will be nice to see her work with a longer set.  going on right before us is our buddy band from spartanburg, pharmasutra.  these guys and gals are great.  we got to play with them at a jam in the park a couple months and have been trying to work a show out with them since.  they play the best snotty garage rock in the upstate.  for serious, really awesome stuff.
